Construction Site Mishaps

The industry of construction is filled with all kinds of hazards.  This can include scaffolding, heavy equipment, dangerous power tools, machinery, explosive chemicals and a lot of activity happening all at the same time. The Bureau of Labor Statistics tell us that one in ten construction employees will report an injury each year and about one thousand construction workers are killed every year on-site.

For the typical injury on-site, there will be about thirty days of missed work and the workers under the age of thirty-five have a higher incidence of injuries.  The most common injury involves the ribs and back and thirty percent of deaths to workers come from falling from high places like roofs and scaffolds.  If any of these injuries lead to a wrongful death, some family member will be searching for an attorney to represent them in court.

Based in Chicago are the law firms of Corboy and Demetrio.  They have a high success rate of winning cases and have noted record setting verdicts for their clients.  If you are looking for an attorney to take your case, don’t just hire the first one you talk to.  Have a few consultations so you pick the one you are comfortable with.
